Zomato has launched a new feature called “Healthy Subscriptions,” allowing users to plan meals in advance through its Healthy Mode section. Announcing the new feature, the company said the feature is designed to help users make healthier food choices more consistently by offering meal plans from selected restaurants. Customers can choose lunch or dinner plans for 3, 5 or 15 days and manage deliveries directly through the app. Zomato said the feature is currently available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
What is Healthy Subscription feature on Zomato
Healthy Subscriptions is a meal-planning feature built into Zomato’s Healthy Mode. Users can select meal plans from participating restaurants and schedule meals for multiple days in advance.
According to Zomato, every dish included in the subscription menu carries a “High” Healthy Score. The score is based on factors such as protein density, fibre, ingredient quality and carbohydrate density.
The company said the nutritional insights and Healthy Scores are generated using AI based on information available on the platform.
How Healthy Subscriptions on Zomato works
Users can choose between lunch and dinner subscriptions across 3-day, 5-day and 15-day plans. The feature also allows users to:
- Edit meals before delivery is locked
- Reschedule meals within the subscription period
- Change delivery addresses
- Cancel subscriptions if plans change
Zomato has also added a “shuffle” option for users who want the app to automatically select meals. Healthy Subscriptions on Zomato is currently live in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with Zomato planning to expand it to more cities later. As announced by the company, some dishes on the subscription menu may be available only through Healthy Subscriptions and not through regular restaurant menus.
